Waxing is a semi-permanent hair removal technique which removes the hair from the root. Waxing is a very effective method to remove large amounts of hair at one time and since the hair is removed from the root, it normally does not grow back for 2 to 8 weeks. Areas that are waxed regularly over long periods of time often get softer regrowth, as opposed to rough stubble from shaving

The most common areas are eyebrows, upper lip, chin, legs, arms, underarms, chest, back, and bikini.

New hair growth in the treated areas tends to grows back soft, fine, and tapered unlike shaved hair; which grows back sharp and course.  With repeated waxing treatment the hair may eventually stop growing.
